1997 Quill & Tankard Awards
The North American Guild of Beer Writers announced the winners of the 1997 Quill and Tankard awards during the Great American Beer Festival in Denver on October 4, 1997. Entries were judged by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication , University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Winners received a commemorative tap handle statuette provided by Century Manufacturing Company , Wichita, KS.
