1998 Quill & Tankard Awards

The North American Guild of Beer Writers announced the winners of the 1998 Quill and Tankard awards during the Great American Beer Festival in Denver on October 3, 1998. Entries were judged by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Winners received a commemorative tap handle statuette provided by Century Manufacturing Company, Wichita, KS.

The awards were presented at a special dinner, sponsored by Anhueser-Busch. The event was held at the Tattered Cover bookstore in Lower Downtown.
